Lyric Academy

Rome and Viterbo
New Operafestival di Roma
and Viterbo Artemusica
are Italian non-profit organizations whose aim is to offer young musicians and singers from all nations
the opportunity to perform in Rome
and Viterbo, participating in the
International Lyric Academy.
The International
Lyric Academy is a unique occasion
for students and emerging Artists; during
an intensive month, they receive professional coachings, voice lessons and
partecipate in a full range of classes, Master Classes, Concerts, recitals and
rehearsals culminating in eight fully staged Orchestra performances of"LA
CENERENTOLA" by Gioachi
Rossini, "LA
TRAVIATA" by
Giuseppe Verdi and "SUOR ANGELICA"
by Giacomo Puccini with the Festival's Symphony Orchestra. There will
be also a special session dedicated
to the Italian
Operas scenes
(in Concert), Rigoletto,
L' Elisir d' Amore, La Boheme, (with Orchestra Ensemble) with the opportunity
to study throughly the role with Italian
coaches and Maestros and, at the end,
to perform in several Concerts.

Singers will be offered coachings, repertoire and diction coaching, Italian
lessons, Master Classes, acting, training for auditions, and career strategy.

LOCATION: Historical
places and Courthyards , Piazza dei Papi and
Churches in Viterbo .
FEE and COSTS: An initial $35.00 (non refundable) Audition Fee is due at the
time of the audition or included with audition tapes mailed in for review.
HOTELS: Academy full tuition includes all classes and accomodations at the
marvellous and renowned MINI PALACE HOTEL
All rooms have, bathroom and include
daily maid service and breakfast. Single occupancy rooms are avalaible for an
additional $500 and must be reserved at the time of the first deposit is due. Lunch and dinner are not
included.
TOURS: Rome, Florence, Bolsena,
Civita di Bagnoregio, Bomarzo under
request are not complementary.
INSURANCE: All participants must have health insurance in effect during the
time period of the Academy. The ILAR can recommend a travel insurance company
should you need assistance.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarships are available ; we
offer both merit and need based scholarship.
AUDITIONS: Auditions for Singers, Ensemble,
Chorus, Apprentices, Pianists,
Conductors and Instrumentalists are required. Live Auditions or Audition tapes
(recorded in the last year) accepted for review. Audition fee is $ 35.00
(non-refundable) at the time of audition or enclosed with audition tape. Send
