Description

Originally built in 1460 as a residence for the Governor of St Peter's Patrimony in Tuscia, during the first decade of the XVI century the palace became the seat of the Priors, supreme magistracy of the town, still carrying on excellently its functions today.
The coat of arms on the façade is Pope Sisto IV della Rovere's. Inside the palace the well-known Sala Regia (Royal Room), a reception room of artistic value with recently restored frescoes (Baldassarre Croce, end of XVI century) relating Viterbo's mythical origins and particular historical events.
